There's always a lower market

More bollocks from Myron. Not the BBC now, but on Channel 4.

Said Ebell, "We are in an up-phase in a natural cycle," leaving unexplained why it was therefore not predicted enough to discourage so much city building in such naturally vulnerable areas.

Then he produced the usual slander against scientists who who state the facts because they are "just people who say things because it will advance their agenda."

Agendas such as Truth and Justice.

Ebell's agenda is Exxon and Automobiles. No matter how many people have to die.

Jody Clarke is a Fark

Myron Ebell is sick. He's not saying anything, but people are talking about him.

Meanwhile, media mop-head Jody Clarke attributed the lack of sufficient access to cars as the cause of all the avoidable deaths in New Orleans.

You see, the people who couldn't afford a vehicle stayed behind in the danger zone and therefore deserved to die. It's not the cars fault. The car companies should be thanked for saving so many lives. They have strived so hard over the years to ensure that there is no alternative evacuation plan to rival their product in terms of inefficiency and profitability.

Like most crap these CEI sickos spout, it's thoroughly wrong. To prove them wrong we don't need to wait until all these free-market enriching policies have somehow made every citizen in New Orleans rich enough to have cars, and then rerun the experiment with another hurricane so we can count how many unburied bodies lie the streets to make a comparison.

We can wait for the next Hurricane to hit. This time in Houston where car ownership is much higher, and see what a pile of bollocks the whole thing is.

It's every man for himself, you see. That's the CEI ethos. Always. Without exception. If the whole stinking ship sinks as a result, that's less important than economic freedom for Exxon. Isn't it? Isn't it. You pointless cloth-eared bog-brush brain tumour, Jody. It's all just a game of fame and wealth and bright lights on TV. It does not matter how many dead bodies you have to climb over to continue your glittering career. It does not need to be like this. All you have to do is stop lying.

Disgusting Tanks

We at the Myron Ebell Climate are astonished at the message which has remained on the front page of the Competitive Enterprise Institute for two weeks like a festering corpse.

Fred L Smith, who claims to be from Louisiana, wasted as much as a whole paragraph before going on one of his rants about the failure of Louisiana due to its introduction of a "regulatory welfare state" back in 1928 after the election of the populist Huey Long.

Before those disastrous policies, it had been rich, said Smith. Since then it had become corrupt and eclipsed by neighboring states and cities as "industries have sought to shift their operations to more favorable [business] climes".

He actually added, in the fourth paragraph, the astounding evidence that: "Houston became the nation’s oil capital and grew far more rapidly. Indeed, Houston is now sheltering refugees from New Orleans."

So you see, children, it's nothing to do with the location of the actual oil or the location of the flood waters whether one city loses and one city wins. All that matters is that it "liberates the creative talents and energies of its people" by following Fred Smith's neo-liberal economic panacea, which has never been tested before, except world-wide for the last forty years, most recently in Iraq.

After all, in an economic world, everyone in New Orleans would have taken out corporate guarenteed flood insurance and these fine private companies would have been chartering the ships and the airplanes and the helicopters and the doctors and the engineers who would have all hurried out the next day to the rescue of their valuable policy-holders and to uphold the immortal contract between buyer and supplier, rather than letting them die.

Yeah, right. And Myron isn't a lying cup of dog spittle whose words are cakes of salt on a dry dusty desert. You make real money by ritual betrayal and by no other means. This is the climate you like.
